I would like to introduce you to Joanne and Iain and their colourful autumn wedding at The White Hart Hotel Lydgate. Joanne and Iain started off their morning preparations at their different locations and we headed to Jo’s parents house to start our day. If we have to decide between photographing the bride or groom we will often favor the bridal prep, as let’s be honest they have a little more to do than us guys lol. Of course if the Bride and grooms locations are reasonably close we love to capture both stories.

Joanne had five bridesmaids, two of which were her sisters Felicity and Claire. She also had a gorgeous flowergirl and page boy called Laila and Nico, who you can spot throughout this post being totally cute. Joanne’s hair was styled by her sister Claire and her wedding cake was created by her sister Felicity, you can see more of her creations at FlissyCakes (quite a talented family huh!). So as the day progressed the preparations picked up speed and we headed on over to the ceremony venue at the Kingdom Hall in Chorlton.

When we got there Iain and his best man were busy mingling with the guests and making sure everyone was seated and awaiting Jo’s arrival. We managed to find our places and get a few shots in before the bride arrived and the ceremony was underway. They had a beautiful wedding talk, filled with laughter as well as props designed to highlight the different aspects of their marriage.

After the ceremony we headed to The white Hart located on top o’ hill, overlooking Manchester and the Cheshire plain beyond. Joanne and Iain had chosen a tasty three course meal for their guests and even fed their photographers (which is always nice lol). The speeches were well prepared and of course filled with humour as anyone who knows Iain knows, he’s a funny guy. Finally to finish the evening off was the cutting of the cake and the first dance, we then stayed a little and had a bit of a boogie as we often do. Congratulations you two, hope you enjoy your precious memories.
