Amanda and Karl’s smokin’ hot engagement shoot in Delamere Forest. What does every photographer wants to hear from his clients- “you just let us know what you’d like us to do and we’ll do it, whatever it is. We trust you”. This is always great to hear because it means that your bride and groom has seen what your capable of and know that as long as they listen to you the photos will look awesome. When Amanda and Karl first contracted me the three words they used to describe their ideal wedding was unusual, eccentric and easy going. That pretty much sums up these two.

So Amanda wanted to do something different for their engagement shoot, she’d seen that I’d used holi coloured powder for some of my shoots in the past and really like the idea of something along these lines. Of course I’m always wanting to try something new and I’d attended one of Neil Redfern’s workshops and we’d touched on some techniques for using smoke bombs in our photography. So with a little bit of advice from Nik Bryant on which ones to buy we gave it a go.

This was my first attempt using them, I don’t know about you guys but I love these images and I learned a lot from this shoot. Thanks Amanda and Karl taking a chance on something a little different. Also, we made a VR (virtual reality) video of the shoot which I’m hoping to post down below at a later date look out for it coming soon.
